Izmir Fire in Paris
The Fire of Anatolia Dance Group, which takes place among the noted dance groups of the world with its great achievements in its tours in foreign countries, performed a magnificent show in Paris on March 14, 2008, within the framework of the promotion initiatives concerning Izmir’s candidacy for EXPO 2015.

President Gül to request support
President Abdullah Gül went to Senegal in order to attend the Summit of the Organization of the Islamic Conference (OIC). Gül stated that during his contacts, he would request support for Izmir’s candidacy to host EXPO 2015 and for Turkey’s bids to become a non-permanent member of the UN Security Council.
